William C. Vollmer

William C. Vollmer, 52, of New Baden, died Monday, September 21, 2015 at St. Joseph Hospital in Breese. He was born May 24, 1963 in Breese, the son of Robert Lawrence and Mary Jane (Meier) Vollmer. He married Shannon Craney on February 5, 1991 in Carlyle and she survives in New Baden.

In addition to his wife he is survived by two brothers, Robert (Betty) Vollmer of Highland and Ivan (Doris) Vollmer of New Baden; two sisters, Blanche (Brian) Schwarz and Laura (Rich) Kruep all of Breese; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Richard and Norma Craney of New Baden; two sisters-in-law, April Guithues of Belleville and Donna Vollmer of New Baden; and his dog, Maggie.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Eva Vollmer; and a brother, Bernell Vollmer.

Mr. Vollmer worked at the Damiansville Nursery in Damiansville. He enjoyed doing odd jobs and helping people.

Memorial Services will be held at 6 p.m. Friday, September 25, 2015 at Nordike Funeral Home in New Baden.

Friends may call Friday, September 25, 2015 from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. at Nordike Funeral Home in New Baden.
