Jennie K. Weilmuenster, 79, of New Baden, IL died Friday, February 13, 2015 at St. Joseph Hospital in Breese, IL. She was born February 13, 1936 in E. St. Louis, IL, daughter of Jesse and Jennie (Meldrum) Henson, Sr. She married Paul O. Weilmuenster on September 18, 1962 in E. St. Louis, IL and he preceded her in death on December 14, 2011. Mrs. Weilmuenster is survived by her children, Paul J. (Debbie) Weilmuenster of Catlin, IL, Robert L. (Lori) Weilmuenster of Belleville, IL, John E. Weilmuenster of O’Fallon, IL, Jesse C. (Russell Ball) Weilmuenster of St. Louis, MO., and Shirley A. (Mark) Tyra of New Baden, IL; seven grandchildren, Sara (Mark) Pitts, Michelle (William) Fank, Cassandra Brown, Brian Weilmuenster, Christopher Tyra, Kirk Weilmuenster, and Kylie Weilmuenster; five great-grandchildren, Marshall, Meredith, & Lucy Pitts, and Addison & Payton Brown; and sisters-in-law, Rose Weilmuenster of Belleville, IL, Irene Henson of Los Angeles, CA., Helen Flemming of New Athens, IL, Angeline Weilmuenster of Belleville, IL, & Mary & Ralph Eilermann of New Baden, IL. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Richard A. Weilmuenster in infancy; two sisters, Mary Winn and Willadean Nolan; two brothers, Jesse Henson Jr. and David Henson; and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Henry “Hank” Weilmuenster, John Winn, John Nolan, Leona Weilmuenster, Oscar Weilmuenster, Charlie Weilmuenster, Joe Weilmuenster, Elva Weilmuenster, and John Weilmuenster in infancy. Mrs. Weilmuenster was a retired clerk in Medical Records for St. Elizabeth Hospital in Belleville. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in New Baden. She was an avid St. Louis Cardinal’s fan and bingo player. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, February 18, 2015 at Hempen-Nordike by GetDiscountApp" href="#"Funeral Home in New Baden with Pastor Dave Manley officiating. Burial will follow at Greenmount Cemetery in New Baden. Friends may call from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Tuesday, February 17, 2015 and from 9 a.m. until time of service Wednesday, February 18, 2015 at Hempen-Nordike Funeral Home in New Baden. Memorials may be made to the Clinton County Relay for Life or to the First Baptist Church in New Baden and will be received at the funeral home.
