Bonita E. Sparwasser, 92, of Breese, IL, formerly of Rod & Gun Club Road, died on Saturday, July 9, 2005, at Caring First Nursing Home in Breese, IL. She was born on January 30, 1913, in Poplar Bluff, MO, daughter of Stanley and Bertha (Clemens) Brown. She married Millard E. Sparwasser in 1955 and he preceded her in death in 1979. She is survived by a son, Roger Sparwasser and wife Martha of Mt. Pleasant, SC; three grandchildren, Paul Sparwasser and wife Anna, Max Sparwasser, and Jeff Sparwasser and wife Lee; a niece, Evelyn Dietzel and husband Richard of St. Louis, Mo; and a great nephew, Larry Dietzel. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and a sister. Mrs. Sparwasser was homemaker. She was a member of St. John United Church of Christ in Breese, IL, Women of the Moose, Chapter 392 in Mascoutah, IL, and the Breese Senior Citizens. She was an avid bowler, even into her eighty’s, and belonged to the Tuesday Night Ladies Bowling League at V & H in Breese. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 12, 2005 at Hempen Funeral Home in Breese, IL with Pastor Dale Starr officiating. Interment will follow at Kolmer Memorial Cemetery in Waterloo, IL. Friends may call from noon until 2 p.m. on Tuesday, July 12, 2005 at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to St. John’s United Church of Christ and will be accepted at the funeral home.
