Ruth Ann Triefenbach

Ruth Ann Triefenbach, 70, of Lenzburg, passed away on Friday, July 18, 2025, at Aviston Countryside Manor. She was born on March 12, 1955, in Belleville, the daughter of Joseph and Dorothy, nee Harwerth, Diecker. She married Merlan Triefenbach at St. Libory Catholic Church and he preceded her in death on August 21, 2006.

Ruth dedicated her life to farming, where she nurtured not only the land but also strong connections with her family and community. Her passion for crafting and baking brought joy to her grandchildren, with whom she shared countless moments of laughter and creativity. Ruth’s legacy is to be celebrated through her children, Mary (Mike) Dothage, Kate (Gene) Dickey, and Mike (Lauren) Triefenbach, who carry forward her nurturing spirit.

She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren, Alexander Dickey, Samantha and Penelope Triefenbach, and Grace Dothage, all of whom were bright lights in her life.

Ruth was part of a large and loving family, including her siblings Marie Maupin, James (Kristin) Diecker, David (Belinda) Diecker, Karen (Dean) Haselhorst, Charles Diecker, and Ron (Jodi) Diecker, as well as her sister-in-law Marsha Diecker, all of whom will hold her memory dear.

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, husband, her brother, Richard Diecker and her sister-in-law, Kim Diecker.

Friends and family are invited to pay their respects at the visitation on Monday, July 28, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM, followed by a memorial service starting at 1:00 PM at Trinity United Church of Christ - 5698 Biddleborn Rd, Marissa, IL 62257.

Memorials made in memory of Ruth may be made to the Trinity UCC Cemetery Perpetual Care fund and will be received at the church or Nordike Funeral Home, 15 E. Hanover St., New Baden, IL 62265 who is serving the family.
