Rolves, Robert

Robert B. Rolves, Sr., 70, of Albers, died Sunday, February 8, 2015 at Countryside Manor in Aviston. He was born October 21, 1944 in Breese, son of Louis and Marie (Korte) Rolves. He married Carol Schuetz on September 29, 1967 in Albers and she survives in Albers. In addition to his wife he is survived by his children, Rob (Nancy) Rolves and Eric (Janet) Rolves all of Albers, and Christine Rolves of Roanoke, TX; grandchildren, Eris, Elena, Eden, Riley, Gabrielle, and Kelsie; his siblings, Len (Linda) Rolves of Albers, Mary Lou (Stan) Wessel of Highland, Gerry (Carol) Rolves of Quincy, Judy (Ted) Winkeler and Kathy (Rusty) Renth all of New Baden; as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Gilbert and Thekla (Blanken) Schuetz. Mr. Rolves was a quality engineer for Nascote and a veteran of the United States Air Force. He was a member of St. Bernard Parish in Albers. Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Albers with Rev. Jack Joyce and Deacon Glenn Netemeyer officiating. Burial will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery in Albers. Friends may call from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Tuesday, February 10, 2015 and from 8 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at Hempen-Nordike Funeral Home in New Baden. Memorials may be made to Mater Dei or Family Hospice of Belleville and will be received at the funeral home.
