Nicholas “Fly” Fischer, of Collinsville, left this world on January 17, 2024.
Nick had a huge heart and an even huger shoe collection. It didn’t matter if you called him Fisch, Nick Swisher, Snicky, or Fly, he had your back. Even if you didn’t have his. He was funny, sweet, and generous even when he had nothing to give. He’d roll in like a hurricane, loud and crazy, dressed to impress, and the life of the party.
He was also complicated, and spent his life chasing demons none of us can even imagine. He lived hard, and he loved even harder. Those of us who have a piece of his heart KNOW how it feels to be loved by Nick Fischer and there’s nothing like it in this world.
He was taken from us way too soon and the loss is great. For he was capable of incredible things…
Fly high baby boy you’re finally free.
He leaves behind his partner Carsyn Vesper and son Hendrix Alexander Fischer; his parents Brian and Tracy Carlson; his brother Jake and wife Gabby; dear Grandparents: Larry and Margrette Blake, Chuck and Chris Carlson, and Rose Fischer; among dozens of Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and Friends.
He is preceded in death by his father Larry Fischer, Grandfather Richard Fischer, Grandmother Carmetta Pyatt, and Uncles: Mike Blake, Richard Fischer, Tom Fischer, and Steve Fischer.
Memorials may be made to Tracy Carlson for a trust fund set up in Hendrix's name in honor of his father. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.nordikefuneralhome.com
