Maxine Kleine of Lebanon, Illinois, formerly of Carlyle, died Monday, November 24, 2014 at Cedar Ridge Healthcare Center in Lebanon at the age of 90 years. Maxine was born in Mt. Blanchard, Ohio on May 28, 1924 the daughter of Don and Lillian (Lieb) Barger. She married Ralph “Hank” Kleine in St. Louis, MO on October 30, 1943, and he preceded her in death on April 14, 1976.
Maxine is survived by her sons: Robert “Bob” Kleine and wife Karen and Michael “Mike” Kleine and wife Dena, both of Carlyle; a daughter-in-law: Karen Kleine of Carlyle; a sister-in-law: Betty Barger of Nashville, IL; 10 grandchildren; and 22 great grandchildren.
Mrs. Kleine was preceded in death by her: parents; husband; son: Jim Kleine; and a brother: Wayne “Bud” Barger.
Maxine was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Hoffman and the Ladies Aid. She was a graduate of Centralia Township High School in 1942.
Funeral services will be Friday, November 28, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Trinity Lutheran Church in Hoffman with Pastor Stephen Krenz officiating. The interment will follow in Trinity Lutheran Church Cemetery.
Friends may visit with the Kleine family at Trinity Lutheran Church in Hoffman on Friday from 9:00 AM until the time of services.
