Martha I. Cachola, aged 75, of Carlyle, peacefully passed away at her home on Thursday, April 9, 2026, surrounded by her loved ones. Born on March 5, 1951, in Leachville, Arkansas, she was the cherished daughter of Marcus and Lilly (Morson) Davidson, Sr. Martha married Gordon Cachola Sr. on November 11, 1969, in Blytheville, Arkansas, and they shared 56 wonderful years of marriage.

She is survived by her husband, Gordon Cachola Sr., of Carlyle; her son, Gordon Cachola Jr., and wife Jennifer (Holtgrave), of Lebanon; her daughter, Dawn Cachola, of Aviston; as well as five brothers-in-law and four sisters-in-law, all residing in Hawaii. 

Martha was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Marcus Davidson Jr., and a brother-in-law and sister-in-law.

Martha was known for her warm and welcoming spirit, embodying the true essence of southern hospitality. She was a devoted mother, wife, and friend who never met a stranger. Her community involvement included membership in the Carlyle Lions Club and the New Baden American Legion Auxiliary. Martha had a passion for camping and traveling, cherishing the adventures shared with family and friends.

In accordance with Martha’s wishes, no formal services will be held at this time. Burial will take place at a later date near her hometown in Manilla Arkansas.
