Mark was born August, 17, 1952 in Breese il., the son of William and Darlene Newkirk née Bird. He married Pat Fridenberg and she survives along with daughters: Theresa (Aaron)Haag of Breese and Reagan (Jason) Lampe of Breese; grandchildren: Emma Haag, Jackson Haag, Audrey Lampe, Nicholas Lampe; and brothers: Mike (Kay)Newkirk of Bowling Green, Kentucky and Kent (Anita) Newkirk of Carlyle.
Mark was preceded in death by his father and mother.
Mark enjoyed spending time with his family and the outdoors. He will be missed profoundly yet his sense of humor, quick wit, spritely zest for business, a never ending love of news, family, friends, and just good times will carry on in all of us that knew and loved him.
In lieu of flowers or memorials, the family suggests you honor Mark by doing an act of kindness for someone.
Friends may visit with the family on Thursday, December 4, 2014 from 4 to 7:00 P.M. at the Frerker Funeral Home in Carlyle.
