Mark B. Jones, age 61, of Carlyle, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loved ones, on November 3, 2025, at his home. He was born on December 28, 1963, in St. Louis, Missouri, to Dan and Judy (Hays) Jones. Mark was married to Camellia Daley on February 17, 2024, and she survives him.

Mark is lovingly remembered by his mother, Judy Jones of Carlyle; his children, Megan Jones of Salem, Oregon, and Bryce Jones of Carlyle; his stepdaughter, Tash Meredith; his aunt, Ida Gragert; and his cherished grand-dogs and grand-cats.

He was preceded in death by his father, Dan Jones; his sister, Kimberley Schaleben; and his grandmother, Sadie Fern Hays.

A proud veteran of the United States Air Force, Mark was also an accomplished private pilot. He had a passion for photography, capturing the beauty of local buildings and landscapes in stunning images. Following in his father's footsteps, Mark dedicated his career to engineering, becoming a skilled land surveyor and later a structural engineer focused on road and bridge construction, making significant contributions during his time with ABNA in St. Louis.

Mark was known for his sense of humor and deep love for his family, which he valued above all else. His legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 8:00 PM on Friday, November 21, 2025, at Nordike Funeral Home in Carlyle.

Private graveside services will take place at Harvey's Point Cemetery in Kell, Illinois.
