Marianne V. Weisenfeld, 93, of Breese, died Monday, July 21, 2025, at Cedarhurst of Breese. She was born August 30, 1931, in St. Louis, MO, the daughter of Michael and Pauline, nee Schmidt, Schuller. She married Louis G. Weisenfeld December 19, 1970, and he preceded her in death on February 11, 2019.
Marianne is survived by her devoted family members: sister-in-law, Connie Weisenfeld of Breese, nieces Barb Coleman and Sue Heredia, nephew Rick Urban all of the St. Louis area, and great nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a sister, Elsie Urban; and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, David A. Weisenfeld, Anita & Raymond Hilmes, and Donald Urban.
Upon graduation from Notre Dame Ripa High School, Marianne worked full-time at Ralston-Purina Company as a clerk, Research Records Clerk, and as Secretary maintaining research laboratory testing records. During this period, she also attended Saint Louis University taking evening courses. In 1954, Marianne was hired by the St. Louis Division of the Federal Bureau of Investigation. For 16 years she worked as a Confidential Stenographer, Criminal Matters Assistant, and Agent Report Writer Trainer, except for a 7-week special assignment to the Dallas Division after the assassination of President John F. Kennedy.
After her marriage, Mrs. Weisenfeld worked as a homemaker and volunteer with the Clinton County Center for Developmental Disabilities. Marianne also assisted her husband as Corporate Secretary with George Weisenfeld & Son, Inc. and later with his insurance agency. She was a member of St. Augustine Parish in Breese.
A memorial mass will be held at a later date.
Memorials may be made to St. Augustine Parish or All Saints Academy and will be received at the church or Nordike Funeral Home, 150 N. Clinton St., Breese, IL 62230 who is serving the family.
