Kimberly Ann Deters

Kimberly Ann Deters, 39, of Trenton, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at Memorial Hospital in Belleville. Lovingly known as Kimmy, she was born on October 10, 1986, the daughter of John Ellsworth and Carol, nee Berberich, Ruth. Though she faced the challenges of debilitating pancreatitis with strength and courage, she is now at peace in Heaven, free from pain and suffering.

Kimberly is survived by Eliot and their daughters, Zoey and Catherine Deters; her mother, Carol Ruth of Trenton; her siblings, Sarah Ruth of Trenton, Jacob (Natalie) Ruth of Lebanon, and James (Alexandria) Ruth of New Baden; nieces and nephews, Penelope Walker, Charlotte, David, and Gideon Ruth, and Henry Ruth; she is also survived by aunts, uncles, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her father, John Ruth; and her grandparents, Bobby & Rosemary Berberich and Eldred & Ruby Ruth.

Kimberly was a proud graduate of Mascoutah High School and went on to attend Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. She carried with her a strong work ethic and a warm spirit that touched everyone she met. She worked at The Mail Box Store and Martin Brower Transportation, where she was known for her reliability, kindness, and dedication.

Kimberly traveled around the world, but her favorite place was home with her family, which was her greatest joy. She enjoyed cooking, reading, playing games, and crafting.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, February 16, 2026, at Nordike Funeral Home in New Baden. Burial will follow at College Hill Cemetery in Lebanon.

Visitation will be held from 8:30 a.m. until the time of services on Monday, February 16, 2026, at Nordike Funeral Home in New Baden.

Kimberly will be remembered for her compassionate heart and the strength she showed even in the most difficult times. Her love will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
