Katherine I. Haynes-Cameron

Katherine I. Haynes-Cameron, 34, of New Baden, passed away on Friday, May 8, 2026, at her home. She was born on June 16, 1991, in Breese, the daughter of Penny and Wanda, nee Hensley, Haynes. She married Kyle Cameron in September 2020 in New Baden and he survives in New Baden.

Katherine was an active and beloved member of the 1st Baptist Church in New Baden, where she found spiritual strength and fellowship. Her faith was a cornerstone of her life, guiding her through both joys and challenges. Katherine’s greatest joy came from spending time with her family, whom she adored. She was especially devoted to “her babies,” filling her home with love, warmth, and unwavering care for her children.

In addition to her parents and husband, she is survived by her four beloved children: Quintin McGeathy, Bentley Cameron, Logan Cameron, and Colton Cameron. Katherine’s family circle also includes her loving sisters, Megan Schulte and Brook (special friend, Avery Rudolphi) Cristel, who stood by her side and shared cherished moments together.

Her extended family includes her grandmother, Donna Hensley. Along with sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Lesley and Virun Williams, Paula Rakers, and Kimberly and Gabe Goebel, enrich the fabric of the family with their care and affection. Numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews were fortunate to share in her kindness and spirit.

Katherine was preceded in death by her grandparents, Kennard Hensley and Daisy Haynes, mother-in-law, Lynn Rakers, and lifelong friend Melinda Reitz whose memories she carried with her throughout her life.

Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. with a memorial service to follow on Friday, May 15, 2026 at the 1st Baptist Church of New Baden.

Memorials made in memory of Katherine are suggested to the 1st Baptist Church of New Baden in care of Kyle and the boys will be received at the church or Nordike Funeral Home, 15 E Hanover St., New Baden, IL 62265 who is serving the family.
