Emmersyn Ann Cotton

With heavy hearts, we announce that baby Emmersyn Ann Cotton was born an angel on July 7, 2025, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Breese. She came into this world cherished by her parents, Jacob and Kristen Cotton. Though her time with us was brief, the love and anticipation surrounding her arrival were immeasurable.

Emmersyn will forever remain in the hearts of her loving family, including her maternal grandparents, Bryan and Lisa Eversgerd, and her paternal grandparents, Beau and Leann Cotton. Her uncles, Ethan Cotton (fiancé Brooke Kruse) and Jacob Eversgerd (fiancé Caitlin Trame). Her great-grandparents, Leonard and Janet Wiegmann, Barbara Eversgerd, and Louis and Joyce Timmermann.

She was preceded in death by her great-grandfather, David Eversgerd, and great-grandmother, Ann Rose Cotton.

Although Emmersyn's journey on earth was fleeting, her presence has touched the lives of those who love her deeply. While she may not have experienced the world as we do, her brief existence has left an indelible mark on our hearts. We carry her spirit with us, forever remembering the joy and love she brought during her short time here. She will be held close in our thoughts and prayers, a gentle reminder of the preciousness of life and the bonds of family. Emmersyn will remain forever a beacon of love, the flickering light of a star that graces our sky, illuminating it even from afar. She will be lovingly remembered by all who longed to hold her close, a testament to the enduring power of hope and dreams in the face of heartache.

Private services will be held at Nordike Funeral Home in Carlyle.
