David L Boyd

David L. Boyd, 72, of Carlyle, passed away on Monday, August 25, 2025 at Addington Place in Shiloh. He was born November 21, 1952 in East St Louis, IL, the son of W.K. “Bud” Boyd and Ellen Boyd.

He is survived by two sons, Paul Boyd and Matthew Boyd; two brothers, Roger Boyd and Larry Boyd; and one sister, Janet Foley. He was preceded in death by his brother, Dennis Boyd.

David was always kind and considerate of others, and rarely complained about much. He was a very smart man, with a very unique mind. He retired from Brunk industries, where many precision medical devices are manufactured. He kept his wit and dry sense of humor to the very end.

All services will be private.

Memorials made in memory of David may be made to the charity of the donors choice and will be received at Nordike Funeral Home, 740 Fairfax St., Carlyle, IL 62231 who is serving the family.
