Curtis D. Vollmer

Curtis D. “Curtsy” Vollmer, 40, of New Baden, died Sunday, June 30, 2019 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in O’Fallon. He was born March 22, 1979 in Belleville, the son of Bernell Justin and Donna, nee Walker, Vollmer.

He is survived by his mother, Donna Vollmer of New Baden; his sister, Janice (Jerry) Andrews of New Baden; his maternal grandmother; aunt and uncles; godparents; and friends.

Curtis was preceded in death by his father; grandparents; and aunts and uncles.

Curtis worked at Kalmer Lumber & Pallet Manufacturing in Albers. He enjoyed bowling and watching sports. Curtis was a member of St. George Parish, the Jaycee’s, and the Knights of Columbus all in New Baden. His final gift to this earth was being an organ donor.

A Celebration of Life visitation will be held on Saturday, July 13, 2019 from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. at the American Legion in New Baden. The family requests everyone wear their favorite sports attire.

Memorials may be made to the family and will be received at the funeral home.
