Bonnie J. Westfall

Bonnie J. Westfall, age 81, of Hoffman, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 14, 2025, at Carlyle Healthcare Center. She was born on March 3, 1944, in Belleville, IL, to Joseph F. and Emma A. (Sachteleben) Palek. On July 9, 1969, Bonnie married Harry F. Westfall in Nashville, Illinois. Her beloved husband preceded her in death on September 10, 2021.

Bonnie is survived by her daughter-in-law, Pamela Westfall; two cherished grandchildren, Cameron Owen and his wife Danielle, and Christian Westfall; and her great-granddaughter, Everly. She is also remembered by her brother, Bob Palek, as well as numerous nieces and nephews who will miss her dearly.

In addition to her husband, Bonnie was preceded in death by her son, Shane Westfall, her parents and her brother, Billy Palek.

Bonnie was a devoted wife, mother, Bonus Mom, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She enjoyed the simple pleasures in life, such as playing scratch-off lottery tickets, watching The Game Show Network and assembling puzzles.  A passionate fan of the St. Louis Cardinals baseball team, she brought joy and enthusiasm to her family. After dedicating over 30 years of her career to Douglas Elementary, she enjoyed a well-deserved retirement.

In accordance with Bonnie’s wishes, there will be no funeral services held.
