Wilbert E. Dorries

Wilbert E. Dorries, 91, of Breese, died Tuesday, May 19, 2020 at his home surrounded by his loved ones. He was born February 28, 1929, son of Otto and Lillie (Rudolph) Dorries. He married Esther Frieda Frey August 25, 1954 in Carlyle and she survives in Breese.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his two daughters, Karen (Steve) Maschhoff of Carlyle, and Janet Dorries of Breese; two grandchildren, Kimberly (Tyler) Albers, Bradley Maschhoff and special friend Shelby Jahn; great grandchildren: Landon and Leighton Albers.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Robert (Alvina) Dorries; and a sister, Dorothy (Robert) Maue; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Helen & Joe Peters, and Eleanor & Fred Maslo.

Mr. Dorries was a farmer, bus driver, and also worked for Markus Cabinet, Beckemeyer Smelter, and Gulf Oil Co. in Little Prairie. He was a member of St John United Church of Christ, Clinton County Farm Bureau, and
he served on the church consistory. His joy was spending time with
family and being on the farm.

Private services will be held at Nordike Funeral Home in Breese.
Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery in Breese.

A Celebration of Life service will take place at a later date at
St. John Church in Breese.

Memorials may be made to St. John United Church of Christ perpetual care or family wishes and will be received at the funeral home.
