Stephen Arthur Smith

Stephen Arthur Smith, 76, entered into rest in God's arms on April 9, 2022, at the age of 76 at his home in Morristown, Tennessee.

Steve was born November 13, 1945, in Carbondale, Illinois, to Felix and Stella (Odom) Smith. He is preceded in death by his parents, and survived by his brother Felix A. Smith, Jr. of Naperville, Illinois.

On July 15,1967, Steve was united in marriage to Diane A. (Graul) Smith, who survives. Steve is also survived by their son Gregory S. Smith of Morristown, Tennessee, and their daughter Debra A. (Smith) Watson and her husband Bryan of Atlanta, Georgia. Steve is also survived by his two grandchildren: Debra and Bryan's children, Andrew B. Watson of Littleton, Colorado, and Sara G. Watson of Blacksburg, Virginia.

Steve was a 1963 graduate of Ritenour High School in St Louis, Missouri, and a 1971 graduate of Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, Illinois. He was also a veteran of both the U.S. Army and the U.S. Air Force.

For most of his adult life, Steve lived near St Louis, Missouri. He owned and operated a commercial photography studio in Fenton, Missouri, for 42 years. In retirement, he and Diane relocated to Morristown, Tennessee.

Graveside services will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, May 22, 2022 at Greenmount Cemetery in New Baden with full military honor accorded.
