Oma Ruth Elling

Oma Ruth Elling, age 76, of Carlyle passed away on Sunday, December 20, 2015 at the Breese Nursing Home. Oma was born in Centralia on August 31, 1939 the daughter of Sholen and Juanita (Trout) Miller. She married James Elling on April 19, 1958 and he survives in Carlyle.
In addition to her husband she is survived by a daughter Gaye (Randy) Baldridge of Centralia; her sons: James (Debra) Elling , Jr. of Centralia, Ted (Beth) Elling of Oro Valley, Arizona, Alan (Kim) Elling of Carlyle, and Chris Elling of Fort Wayne, Indiana; her grandchildren: Melissa (dennis) Seibert, Allan (Dorothy) Elling, Travis (Tiffany) Elling, Brittany (Perry) Sloan, Justin (Larissa) Armer, James (Shy) Armer, Jared (Lori) Armor; 13 great grandchildren; brothers and sister in law: Irene (Val) Theising of Germantown, Irvin and Shirley Elling of Green Valley, IL, Margie (Larry) Grapperhaus of Pekin, Dorothy (Joe) Cunningham of Breese, Ramond (Doris) Elling of Carlyle.
Oma was preceded in death by her parents, and her brothers: Sholen, Johnnie, and Ronnie Miller.
She loved her animals Jackie and Cat.
Private services will be held at a later date. Nordike Funeral Home in Carlyle is handling the arrangements.
