Olive Ann "Ollie" Wuebbels

Olive Ann ‘Ollie” Wuebbels, nee Brede, 82, of New Baden, died Saturday, October 31, 2015 at her home. She was born on February 23, 1933 in New Baden, the daughter of Edwin O. “Dick” and Mata R. Brede, nee Suhrheinrich. She married Robert Lee Wuebbels October 13, 1988 in Arkansas and he preceded her in death on August 31, 2013.

Ollie is survived by her children, Stan (Patricia) Haar and Tina (Charles) Litteken; her step-children, Cheri (Ron) Albers, Steve Wuebbels, and Peggy (Dale) Staley; a step-son-in-law, Carl Ottensmeier; grandchildren, Kathy Haar, John (Melissa) Haar, Kimberly Haar (Joe Holley), Joseph Haar, and Abby Litteken; step-grandchildren, Curt (Leah) Albers, Jamie (Eric) Henken, Chris Wagoner, Nicholas and Emily Ottensmeier, Mikaela Kehrer, Dustin Kehrer (Sam Keleman); great-grandchildren, Isaac Haar, Isabella Haar, Kaleigh, Kearrah, Kaitlyn, Kristina, and Matthew Haar; step-great-grandchildren, Kale, Maxwell and Layna Albers, Colsen and Levi Wagoner, Zane and Zander Henken; and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Marlyin Miley, Dennis & Nancy Wuebbels, Marlene & Doug Peters, Shirley Priest, and Lorraine Wuebbels.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by two sisters, Sharlene L. “Shotz” Miley and Marjorie Brede; a step-daughter, Judy Ottensmeier; brothers-in-law, Joseph Wuebbels, Jr and Ronald Priest; and two step-sons-in-law, Steve Wagoner and Brad Kehrer.

Ollie was a member of the New Baden Senior Citizens and the New Baden American Legion Auxiliary, where she served as a past president. She was a certified lane inspector with the ABC and WIBC and was a long time bowler. Ollie loved to try her luck at the casinos, crocheting afghans, and going to quilt bingos and senior trips with her friends.

Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, November 4, 2015 at Zion United Church of Christ in New Baden with Rev. Gretchen Sterrett officiating. Entombment will be in Lake View Memorial Gardens Mausoleum in Fairview Heights.

Friends may call on Tuesday, November 3, 2015 from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. and again on Wednesday, November 4, 2015 from 8 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. at Zion United Church of Christ in New Baden.

Memorials may be made to the American Legion Poelker Post 321 Building Fund, the Zion United Church of Christ New Baden Building Fund, or to Family Hospice and will be received at the church or Nordike Funeral Home, 15 E. Hanover, New Baden, IL 62265 who is serving the family.
