Mary M. Ade, nee Seiffert
July 20, 1941 — June 5, 2020
MMary M. Ade, nee Seiffert, age 78, of Carlyle passed away at her home surrounded by her family on Friday, June 5, 2020. She was born in Breese, Illinois on July 20, 1941, the daughter of Paul & Opal (nee Rittenhause) Seiffert.
She is survived by her children: Angela Rhodes and husband John and Mark Ade and wife Tonya all of Carlyle; two brothers Leroy "Curley" Seiffert and wife Janice and Jim Seiffert and wife Clara, all of Carlyle; two sisters: Ruth Peters and Betty Robben both of Carlyle; her grandchildren: Jacob Ade, Kendall Keele and fiancée Kate Hilmes, Kaylen Keele and fiancé Scot Hornick, Zoe Ade, Kelly Burdine and husband Michael, Kevin Keele, Jeremy Rhodes, Heather Klasing and husband Kyle, Taylor Rhodes, David Griffith and wife Laura, and Justin Rhynes; and ten great grandchildren.
Mary was preceded in death by her mother and father; two sons: Charles Ade and Kevin Ade; her grandson Tyler Keele; a brother Paul Seiffert; two sisters: Mary Jane Henn and Kay Forrest; and her in-laws: Glenn Henn, Vince Peters, Jim Forrest, and Tom Robben.
She was a 1959 graduate of Mater Dei High School. She retired from Arrow Group in Breese after more than 40 years. Mary was a devoted Jehovah’s Witness. She enjoyed working in her yard, gardening, camping, hiking, and swimming. She loved her family and took a special interest in her grandchildren.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic a memorial service will be held via Zoom through the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses on Saturday, June 13, 2020 at 11:30 AM. If you would like to attend the service please call 618-334-6649 for the Zoom login information.
Memorials made in memory of Mary are suggested to the charity of donor’s choice and will be received at Nordike Funeral Home, 740 Fairfax Street, Carlyle, IL 62231.
