Marty S. Brandt

Marty S. Brandt of Sandoval passed away Monday in Vandalia at the age of 38 years. Marty was born in Centralia, Illinois on May 13, 1977, the son of David and Kathy (Jordan) Brandt.
Marty is survived by his parents: David Brandt of Sandoval and Kathy Heinreichsmeyer and husband Skip of Centralia; children: Kayli Brandt of Ferrin, Madison Brandt of Centralia, Andrew Brandt of Ferrin; his sibling: Dujuana Morris and husband Stephen of Sandoval, Misty Stoffel and husband Donald of Breese, Lindsay Brandt and special friend Shawn Wright of Foley, Alabama; Darin Brandt and wife Jamie and Derrick Brandt and wife Roseann both of Sandoval; a step sister: Susan Purcell and husband Geff of Salem; his grandmother, Norma Brandt of Centralia.Many nieces and nephews and many friends.
Marty was a registered nurse and worked at Memorial Hospital in Springfield. He served in the United States Navy from 1996 to 1998.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 7:00 P.M. at the Frerker Funeral Home in Carlyle. The interment services will be private.
Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday at the Frerker Funeral Home on Wednesday from 5 to 7:00 P.M.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made in Marty’s honor be made to to the family.
