Mae M. Dial

Mae M. Dial, formerly of Carlyle, died Sunday, August 8, 2010 at the Grace Moore Nursing Home in Brunswick, Georgia at the age of 97 years. Mae was born in Carlyle on June 19, 1913 the daughter of Aaron B. and Hattie Mae (Barber) Reeves. She married Roy R. Dial on December 22, 1930 in Waterloo, Illinois and he preceded her in death on December 26, 1966.Mae worked at the Moran Shoe Company in Carlyle retiring in 1965 and then worked at the Carlyle Healthcare Center before retiring in 2002.Mae was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son: Jack Dial; two brothers: Aaron 'Toad' Reeves and Richard Hall; and a great grandson: Aaron Patnoe.Mrs. Dial is survived by five grandchildren: Arlene Catalina, Jan Garcia, Clay Dial, Keith Dial and Jodi Olds; seven great grandchildren; and seven great great grandchildren.Funeral services will be held at the Carlyle Christian Church on Saturday, August 28, 2010 at 10:00 A.M. with Rev. Dallas Nickel officiating. The interment will follow at Carlyle Cemetery.Friends may visit with the family at the Christian Church on Saturday from 9:00 A.M. until the time of services.Memorials can be made in Mae’s honor to the Christian Church in Carlyle and those will be received at the Frerker Funeral Home which is serving the family.
