Lulabelle Berry

Lulabelle Berry, 76, of Carlyle passed away on Thursday, May 16, 2019 at Aviston Countryside Manor. She was born in Vandalia, Illinois on November 8, 1942, the daughter of Glen and Rachel (Ellis) Tobin. She married Paul Berry in Posey on August 22, 1959 and he preceded her in death in 1993.

In addition to her parents and husband, Lulabelle was preceded in death by two daughters: Mary McClain and Vieanna “Lynn” Nordike; her son-in-law: Steve McClain; and her sister, Glenda Tobin-Wells.

Lulabelle is survived by her daughter Chris Twenhafel and husband Lyle of Carlyle; her grandchildren: Jamie Cox and husband Mark, Paula Dicky and husband Allan, Vanessa Barnett and husband Josh, Lulabelle Garrett and husband Alex, Dennis Nordike and wife Heather, and David Jordan and wife Crystal; a brother, Carl Tobin; nieces and caretaker Theresa Wells, nephews Glen Wells and Dan Wells.

Mrs. Berry was a very hard worker and loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held at 3:30 pm on Friday, May 24, 2019 at Nordike Funeral Home in Carlyle with Pastor Mark Cox officiating. Burial will follow at Carlyle Township Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 2:30 pm until the time of services on Friday, May 24, 2019 at Nordike Funeral Home in Carlyle.

Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society or Alzheimer’s Association and will be received at Nordike Funeral Home, 740 Fairfax Street, Carlyle, IL 62231.
