Keith G Rohling

Keith G. Rohling, 62, of Trenton, died Saturday, October 24, 2015 at his home. He was born February 19, 1953 in Highland, the son of Paul A. and Margie A. (Korte) Rohling. He married Wendy S. Luginbuhl on November 15, 1975 in Trenton and she survives in Trenton.

In addition to his wife he is survived by a daughter, Kelly (Gary) Cooper of O’Fallon; a son, Kevin (Kim) Rohling of Marion; a granddaughter, Lily Cooper; his mother-in-law, Gene Luginbuhl; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Jerry & Paula Rehkemper, Don Schmidt; Kathy & Brian Singler, Donna & Don Gramlich, Jane & Kent Pirok, Nancy & Buddy Woods, and Faye & Steve Slemmer; nieces and nephews, Kristi Schmidt, Nik Schmidt, Gavin (Kate) Rehkemper, Kelsey Rehkemper, Clayton Rehkemper, Josh Singler, Stephen Gramlich, Sarah (Jason) Ralston and family, Ryan Pirok, Jonathan Woods, Tina Woods, Jessica Kuhn, and Tyler Kuhn; and beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters, Geralyn Rehkemper and Joyce Schmidt; a brother, Kenneth Rohling in infancy; his father-in-law, Herbert Luginbuhl; and a niece, Erika Schmidt in infancy.

Mr. Rohling was a dedicated property owner and manager. He was a devout Catholic; a member of the Boy Scouts of America; a volunteer at Joy of the Gospel Ministries, Samaritan’s Purse, many food banks, Habitat for Humanity, construction at Camp Ondessonk, and a volunteer fireman with the Trenton Fire Department. Keith cherished spending time with his family and enjoyed fishing, boating, cycling, kayaking, socializing, hiking, traveling, playing cards and games, construction, driving a bobcat, and walking on the beach with his family and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, October 30, 2015 at Nordike Funeral Home in Aviston with Rev. Pat Jakel officiating. Burial will follow at Trenton Cemetery in Trenton.

Friends may call Thursday, October 29, 2015 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. and again on Friday, October 30, 2015 from 9 a.m. until time of service at Nordike Funeral Home in Aviston.

Memorials may be made Joy of the Gospel Ministries (where Keith fed the homeless) or The Geralyn Rehkemper Scholarship Fund and will be received at the funeral home.
