Jerome "Jerry" Gebke

Jerome “Jerry” Gebke of Carlyle died Sunday, August 3, 2014 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Breese at the age of 69 years.
Jerry was born in Belleville, Illinois on August 6, 1944, the son of Frank and Dorothy (Huene) Gebke. He married JoAnn Jobe in Centreville, Illinois on February 8, 1964, and she survives in Carlyle.
Jerry is also survived by two sons: Steven Gebke of Junction City, Kentucky and Kent Gebke of Los Angeles, California; a sister: Sharon Shewe and husband John of Carlyle; and a granddaughter: Jeriann Gebke of Junction City, Kentucky.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter: LeAnn; and a sister: Lucille Scott.
Jerry was retired after working many years as a regional sales manager in the food industry. He had been active in the Fraternal Order of Eagles and the Loyal Order of Moose in the Columbus, Ohio area.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, August 8, 2014 at 10:00 AM at St. Mary Church in Carlyle with Fr. George Mauck officiating. The interment will follow in St. Mary Cemetery.
Friends may visit with the family on Thursday at the Frerker Funeral Home from 6 to 8:00 PM or on Friday from 8 until 9:30 A.M.
For those wishing to honor Jerry with a memorial contribution, the family suggests St. Judes Children’s Hospital and those will be received at the Frerker Funeral Home which is serving the family.
