Gail Simpson

Gail Simpson, 64, of New Baden, died Friday, July 24, 2020 at Clinton Manor Living Center in New Baden. She was born August 1, 1955 in St. Louis, MO, the daughter of Harold D. and Norma L., nee Reeves, Simpson.

Gail is survived by a niece, Lori Davis (Spinks); a great-nephew, Dylan Davis; special friend, Carlton Crawford; and friends and staff at Clinton Manor Living Center.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a sister, Sharon Anglim; a brother, Rick Simpson; and her grandparents, Arvil & Etta Reeves.

Gail was a sweet, loving spirit who enjoyed life to the fullest. She grew up in the catholic faith and prayed at every meal. She loved to teach people sign language and loved spending the holidays at Cheryl & Dan Smith’s house with all their family. You could always find her listening to music and dancing in her wheelchair. She attended Community Link in Breese for many years.

Graveside Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, August 5, 2020 at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Belleville.

Memorials may be made to Shriner’s Hospital and will be received at Nordike Funeral Home, 15 E. Hanover St., New Baden, IL 62265 who is serving the family.
