Edna J. Kueper

Edna J. Kueper, age 95, of Carlyle, passed away on Tuesday, November 6, 2018 at Carlyle Healthcare Center. She was born February 6, 1923 in St. Rose, the daughter of William and Lena, nee Schrage, Kampwerth. She married Wilfred A. Kueper on November 28, 1964 in Aviston and he preceded her in death on November 29, 2016.

Edna is survived by a sister-in-law, Dot Kueper; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Kampwerth; and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Ray, Gib, and Harold Kueper, Mildred Huff, and Dorothy Buchmiller.

Edna worked for the Illinois Department of Public Aid and also at Scott Air Force Base. She was a member of St. Mary Parish and Ladies Sodality in Carlyle, St. Joseph Hospital Auxiliary, and the Knights of Columbus Auxiliary.

A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mary Church in Carlyle on Friday, November 9, 2018 at 10:00 am with Fr. George Mauck officiating. Interment will follow at St. Mary Cemetery in Carlyle.

Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until the time of services at St. Mary Church on Friday, November 9, 2018.

Contributions in memory of Mrs. Kueper are suggested to St. Mary Church or to the charity of donor’s choice and will be received at church or at Nordike Funeral Home in Carlyle.
