Dorothy M. Alexander

Dorothy M. Alexander, 75, of New Baden, died Friday, June 17, 2016 at her home. She was born November 16, 1940 in Belleville, daughter of Louis and Virginia (Schaum) Sindel. She married Carl Edward Alexander on March 4, 1967 in Belleville and he preceded her in death on January 16, 2004.

Mrs. Alexander is survived by her two daughters, Corliss Wright of New Baden, and Connie Meyer of Dubuque, IA; grandchildren, Kindra (Brandon) Warning, Thomas Meyer, and Andrew Meyer; great-granddaughter, Lilah Warning; a brother, Louis (Jane) Sindel, Jr. of Mascoutah; and sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Doris Determan, Mary Ann & David Papproth all of Belleville, and Elaina Alexander of California.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Floyd & Mary Alexander, Sr., Victor Determan, Kenneth Alexander, and Delores Sindel.

Mrs. Alexander was a Homemaker.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, June 20, 2016 at Nordike Funeral Home in New Baden with Rev. Gene Neff officiating. Burial will follow at Walnut Hill Cemetery in Belleville.

Friends may call from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Sunday, June 19, 2016 and from 9 a.m. until time of services on Monday, June 20, 2016 at Nordike Funeral Home in New Baden.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the family and will be received at the funeral home.
