Donna M. Hegger

Donna M. Hegger, 57, of Aviston, died Thursday, September 5, 2019 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in O’Fallon. She was born April 21, 1962 in Breese, the daughter of Marcellus J. “Teedle” and Betty, nee Vandeloo, Niemeyer. She married Tom Hegger October 8, 1983 at St. Dominic Catholic Church in Breese and he survives in Aviston.

In addition to her husband she is survived by her two daughters, Courtney (Brad) Gower of St. Joseph, MO, and Casey (Cory) Bifoss of Breese; a granddaughter, Adalyn Gower; her siblings, Denise (Stan) Holtman of Breese, Deb (Tom) Deters of Kenosha, WI, David (Myra) Niemeyer of Kirkwood, MO, and Duane (Lisa) Niemeyer of Aviston; and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Gary (Sarah) Hegger of Fort Myers, FL, Kevin (Marla) Hegger, Jim (Diane) Hegger, David (Debbie) Hegger, and Charlene (Terry) Sudholt all of Aviston, Betsy (Matt) Horstmann of Trenton, and Kurt (Nancy) Hegger of St. Charles, MO.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Charles and Eileen Hegger.

Mrs. Hegger was a computer security specialist at Scott Air Force Base. She was a member of St. Francis Parish in Aviston. Donna enjoyed spending time with family and friends, shopping, and her grandbaby.

Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, September 12, 2019 at St. Francis Catholic Church in Aviston with Rev. Dan Friedman officiating. Burial will follow at St. Francis Cemetery in Aviston.

Friends may call Wednesday, September 11, 2019 from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Nordike Funeral Home in Aviston and again on Thursday, September 12, 2019 from 10 a.m. until time of service at St. Francis Catholic Church in Aviston.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society and will be received at the church or funeral home.
