Diane M. Malmkar

Diane Mary Malmkar, 65, of New Baden, died Monday, February 15, 2021 at Clinton Manor Living Center in New Baden. She was born premature and breach on May 2, 1955 in Norfolk, Va., at a military hospital, to Chris and Donna, nee Stevens, Malmkar. No way was she meant to survive for 65 years.

Diane grew up in Memphis and received training through Les Passees and United Cerebral Palsy. She was Baptized Lutheran and attended Immanuel Lutheran Church in Memphis, Tenn.

She is survived by her sisters, Debra Marler of Granite City and Dawn Dottl of Belvidere; and her many friends at Clinton Manor.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, David Chris Malmkar.

There will be no services at this time. All thoughts are prayers for the family are appreciated. A special thanks to the staff at Clinton Manor for taking such good care of Diane.

Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice and will be received at 15 E. Hanover St, New Baden, IL 62265 who is serving the family.
