Dale A. Castello

Dale A. Castello, 79, of New Baden, passed away on Sunday, March 20, 2022 at Mar-Ka Nursing Home in Mascoutah. He was born February 20, 1943 just outside Akron, OH, the son of Allen and Genevieve, Mclatchey, Castello.
Mr. Castello is survived by his children, Karl Castello and Scott Castello of Wisconsin and Mary Rohe of Illinois; and two sisters, Carolyn Reed of North Carolina and Connie Orban of New Jersey.
Dale was a retired veteran of the United States Air Force, he graduated from Ohio State University, and he worked for General Dynamics as an engineer.
All services will be private.
For over 20 years, Dale had a passion for horse racing, and a soft spot for horse rescue. He was a volunteer at a local horse rescue ranch for many years. In lieu of flowers or gifts, please consider donations to “Randy’s Rescue Ranch” through their website https://www.randysrescueranch.org/ .
