Catherine M. Walton

Catherine M. “Kinky” Walton, age 87, of Albers, passed away on Tuesday, March 28, 2017. She was born in Bartelso on October 1, 1929 the daughter of Louis and Christine (Jansen) Boeckman. Catherine married James Walton on April 18, 1958 at St. Cecilia Church in Bartelso and he preceded her in death on March 15, 1991.

In addition to her parents and husband, Catherine was preceded in death by two sisters: Dorothy (Arthur) Moore and Lucille (Lester) Freimuth; four brothers: Charles (Rose) Boeckman, Richard Boeckman, Louis (Alvina) Boeckman and Eugene Boeckman.

She is survived by three daughters: Jean (Mike) Wellen, Debra (Bruce) Kalmer, and Donna (Curt) Wellen; her son, Ronald Walton and Daniel Walton; grandchildren: Kyle (Erika) Wellen, Sarah (Tim) Wellen, Cari Walton, Christine Kalmer, and Caleb Kalmer; six great-grandchildren;
and her sister, Rose (James) Case.

Catherine lived in Bartelso most of her life. She worked at Scott Air Force Base for 35 years as a civilian. She enjoyed spending free time at the family clubhouse and being surrounded by her family and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, March 31, 2017 at St. Cecilia Catholic Church with Msgr. James Buerster officiating.
