Ann B. Hollenkamp

Ann B. Hollenkamp of Carlyle passed away Sunday, March 15, 2015 at the Carlyle Healthcare Center at the age of 98 years. Ann was born on January 14, 1917 in Salem, Missouri, the daughter of Bernard and Anna (Peppenhorst) Nothaus. She married Vincent H. Hollenkamp on October 1, 1946 in Carlyle, and he preceded her in death on September 2, 1982.
Ann is survived by her children: Elizabeth Hollenkamp of Carlyle, Jeanette Morgando and husband John of Carterville, Mary Hollenkamp and husband Mike of Millstadt, and Robert Hollenkamp and wife Bonnie of Carlyle; grandchildren: Angela Redeker and husband David of Carlyle, Steven Hollenkamp and wife Kayla of Fairview Heights, IL, Brian Hollenkamp of Petersburg, IL, John Morgando of Kingman, AZ, and JoAnn Morgando of St. Louis, MO; great grandchildren: Luke Redeker and Reed Hollenkamp; and a sister: Irene Theunisson of Hoven, South Dakota.
Mrs. Hollenkamp was preceded in death by her parents; husband; children: Joseph Hollenkamp and Theresa Hollenkamp; and sibling: Helen Hughes, Louis Nothaus, Albert Nothaus and Matilda Nothaus.
Ann was a member of St. Mary Church and St. Ann Altar Sodality. When she was physically able, she enjoyed gardening and quilting, but those were secondary to spending time with her family!
A Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, March 19, 2015 at 10:00 AM at St. Mary Church in Carlyle with Fr. George Mauck officiating. She will be laid to rest beside her husband in St. Mary Cemetery.
Friends may visit with the family at the Frerker Funeral Home in Carlyle on Wednesday from 4 to 8:00 PM or on Thursday from 8 to 9:30 AM.
For those wishing to honor Mrs. Hollenkamp with a memorial gift, the family suggests St. Mary Church, St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital or to the charity of the donor’s choice and those will be received at the Frerker Funeral Home which is serving the family.
