Lois J Sellinger

Lois J. Sellinger, 85, of Albers, died Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at Missouri Baptist Hospital in St. Louis, MO. She was born October 23, 1929 in Inkster, MI, daughter of Louis and Eva (Converse) Sherwood. She married Louis Sellinger on March 9, 1952 and he preceded her in death on August 31, 1990.
She is survived by her children, Dale Michael Sellinger of New Baden and Randy L. (Debra) Sellinger of Albers; three grandchildren, A. J. Sellinger, Nate (Kelly) Sellinger and Crystal Sellinger; four great-grandchildren, Blake and Allysa Koontz, and Tanner & Carter Sellinger.
Mrs. Sellinger worked as a cook at the Dupo Community Grade School, Clinton Manor, the Duquoin Nursing Home and Scott Air Force Base. She was a member of Veteran of Foreign Wars Auxiliary Post 6368 in Dupo and served as president three times; and a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 1026 in Albers.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, July 27, 2015 at Nordike Funeral Home in New Baden with Rev. James Blazine officiating. Burial will follow at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, MO.
Friends may call from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m. Sunday, July 26, 2015 and from 9 a.m. until time of service Monday, July 27, 2015 at Nordike Funeral Home in New Baden.
Memorials will be received at the funeral home.
