Judy A. Wessel

Judy A. Wessel of Carlyle passed away on Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at her home surrounded by family at the age of 68 years. Judy was born on February 25, 1947 in Carlyle the daughter of Robert and Pansy (McKinney) Berry. She Married Lowel Wessel on October 21, 1997 in Carlyle and he survives.

Judy is also survived by her children: Michael Clanin and wife Sandra of Mt. Vernon, Julie Clanin-Mays of Centralia, Robin Clanin of Carlyle, Tom Clanin and wife Brandi of Centralia, and Nicole Berry of Carlyle; a sister: Patty Sterkis of Jamestown; fifteen grandchildren: Samantha Clanin, Dannelle Rosetto, Cherekee Mays-Kinney, Robert Mays, Charli Garrison, Kaitlyn, Conner, and Haillie Haake, Cheyenne Clanin, Dakota, Jordan, Brady and Logan Bodine, Abigail Arlene Berry, and Ethen Rines; four great grandchildren: Collin, Eric, Rayden, and Rylee.

She was preceded in death by her daughter Ruth Holthaus; two granddaughters Savannah Clanin Kat Hughey; and four brothers: Bobby, Paul, Jerry, and George Berry.

Judy was known to be a collector of recipes and loved to cook. She enjoyed finding treasures at yard sales and on the weekends and gardening, she could always find a spot for more flowers. She was happiest when her family could all be together at holidays, especially the fourth of July or just an afternoon barbeque. Above all she loved her grandchildren.

Private funeral services will be held at Nordike Funeral Home.

Memorials can be made in honor of Judy to SSM Hospice of the Good Samaritan and will be received at Nordike Funeral Home in Carlyle.
